Commercial barbecue sauce can be a source of added gluten, as flour and modified corn starch are often used as thickeners, but making your own homemade barbecue sauce is fast and easy. This gluten-free barbecue sauce recipe makes a thick all-purpose sauce that's not too sweet or too hot—a sauce that everyone can enjoy. A basic sauce, taking about 15 minutes to make, you can also jazz it up with some of your own variations or take a look at our suggestions below.

This thick, tangy, and slightly sweet barbecue sauce is much better tasting (and without the added preservatives too) than storebought. You will want to use it on grilled chicken, ribs, pulled pork, burgers, or brats. It is also a good dipping sauce for gluten-free chicken tenders or some people enjoy it on some grilled veggies or gluten-free fries.
