Gluten Free Barbecue Sauce Recipe
Teri Lee Gruss

Commercial barbecue can be sources of added gluten, used as a thickener but making your own homemade barbecue sauce is fast and easy. This recipe makes a thick all purpose sauce, not too sweet or too hot but a sauce that everyone should enjoy. Use it on grilled chicken, ribs, pulled pork, burgers or brats. It is also a good dipping sauce for gluten free chicken tenders.

Comments on review: Lea and Perrins Worcestershire Sauce made in the U.S. is gluten-free, verified by Heinz Consumer Affairs. According to Heinz, all varieties of Lea and Perrins made in the U.S. are gluten-free. If you reside outside the U.S. and use Lea and Perrins Worcestershire sauce, do what this reviewer did, always read labels. If you see malt vinegar with barley on the label, it contains gluten. I thank this reviewer for making her comments. It's a good illustration of why reading labels is so important. I live in the U.S. and do not have access to label information about all products sold in all countries.

Reminder: Always make sure your work surfaces, utensils, pans and tools are free of gluten. Always read product labels. Manufacturers can change product formulations without notice. When in doubt, do not buy or use a product before contacting the manufacturer for verification that the product is free of gluten.

Lea & Perrins does not have gluten! Go to their website, and look! L&P made in the US does not have gluten. Sauce was good, a bit vinegary so I added more sugar.
