Guide Review - Product Review- Namaste Foods Gluten Free - No Sugar Added Muffin Mix
Rice flours just doesn't have much flavor, they tend to make foods taste gritty and they aren't a particularly good source of nutrients. They are high in carbohyrates and as you can see from the nutritional profile for this product, eating just one muffin made from this mix, without substituting fruit juice for water, adds 20 grams of carbohyrates and 8 grams of fat to your daily intake.
I do credit Namaste Foods for making a no-sugar mix for people with multiple food sensitivities but think that a home cook could make a better product from scratch without much more effort or expense than using this product. All things considered, even though this mix is allergen and sugar free, it isn't very nutritious and the bland flavor and grittiness make me wonder why anyone would try this product twice.
