The Bottom Line

Authentic Foods® Superfine Brown Rice Flour is popular with gluten free cooks because it is milled to a superfine flour, a process which removes much of the grittiness characteristic of other brown rice flour products. You can feel the difference- superfine brown rice is powdery, almost like wheat flour. Other brown rice rice flours are noticeably gritty to the touch and end up tasting gritty.

If you are trying to improve the texture of your gluten free baked goods, and who isn't(!), Authentic Foods® Superfine Brown Rice Flour will reduce the grittiness of your flour blends, muffins, cookies, cakes and pie crusts.

Authentic Foods® has been manufacturing gluten free products since 1993. Their line of gluten free products are milled, blended and packaged in a dedicated gluten free facility.

According to the manufacturer, Superfine Brown Rice Flour is stone-milled from U.S. #1 California medium-grain rice, "the best grain size for gluten-free baking," and it has a recommended shelf-life of 6 to 9 months.

You can use Superfine Brown Rice Flour as a substitute for white rice flour in most recipes to improve the nutritional quality of your gluten free diet. I am so impressed. This superfine brown rice flour increased the WOW factor of my gluten-free muffins by a million. The extra cost is completely worth it for the excellent crumb factor and super soft fluffy texture. Improved my baking experience & the kids loved the results.
