Nicole Hunn, author of Gluten-Free On A Shoestring, cooks for a family of 5, including a son with Celiac disease. Like her popular blog of the same name, Nicole's new book offers up valuable tips and family-friendly recipes designed to help other families eat well while sticking to a sensible food budget.
Nicole notes that she succeeded in reducing her weekly food budget from $175 down to $100. That's very impressive. Food costs in general are rising at an alarming rate. Everything a gluten-free cook can do to cut deeply into expenditures while serving up healthy familiar favorites is time and effort well spent.
You'll find loads of tips, resources and 125 super family-friendly recipes and more in Gluten-Free On A Shoestring. Read my review to learn more about Nicole's new book.

Oh my gosh, this book is an answer to my prayers!! It is EXACTLY what I have been hoping, searching and wishing for since my two year old was diagnosed with celiac disease a few months ago. Although it’s getting easier to deal with, I still have felt like there must be other people out there that just want simple GF recipes for their families and tips for saving money at the same time. I just downloaded the book on my Kindle app on my iPad and love it already. Thanks so much for the review – I didn’t hesitate to spend the $9.99 after I read your review and saw that it was exactly what I have been looking for.
That’s great Kristina. Gluten Free on a Shoestring is super timely and I really do love the recipes in Nicole’s book. Happy GF cooking!
