Review - Gluten-Free Love by Tricia Fecteau

Wednesday July 8, 2009

Gluten-Free Love by Tricia Fecteau is a no-frills, family-oriented gluten-free cookbook that focuses on simple gluten-free kid-friendly recipes. The majority of the 120 recipes in Gluten-Free Love are dairy-free as well- a huge plus for gluten and dairy-free cooks.

Other features I like about this easy-to-use cookbook include:

  • About 100 recipes are low in calories- 400 or less calories per serving
  • There are lots of "Quick Recipes"- recipes that can be prepared start-to-finish in 1 hour or less
  • Ingredients are basic and easy-to-find
  • Lean poultry replaces red meat and pork in many recipes, stevia, honey and agave nectar replace refined sugar and recipes don't call for ingredients that contain MSG
  • Recipes are kid-friendly
  • All recipes include a per serving nutritional analysis
