Commercial barbecue sauces sometimes contain gluten as a thickening agent, so read labels carefully while you are shopping for the big upcoming holiday weekend. Or, instead of pondering label ingredients make your own homemade gluten-free barbecue sauce. It's very easy to make and calls for ingredients that are most likely in your cupboard right now.

This recipe makes a thick all-purpose sauce, not too sweet or too hot but a sauce that everyone should enjoy. Use it on grilled chicken, ribs, pulled pork, burgers or brats. This GF barbecue sauce also makes a terrific dipping sauce for gluten-free chicken tenders.

I will have to try your sauce. My dad has celiac diseas and can’t have any gluten. He loves the sauce that I did a review on for my blog.
